Chapter 1 21st March 2003 Painful memories

It is a warm sunny day Erin,Creena,Bronwyn,Claire,Mark,Ronan and Kian are all sat in the Carlton Cafe waiting for Shane to come out of the kitchen.

so that they could head over to Dublin to meet up with Nicky,Grace,Bryan and Katie to go shopping.

Ronan had just picked up his cup of coffee took a sip from it and put it back down.

when he saw the distant look in Claire's eyes,he got up from his seat between his his sister and Shane's sister and walked over to where Claire was sitting.

Ronan then put his arm around Claire and said "darling what's wrong?,you seem to be miles way."

Claire looked at Ronan with blank eyes and in a very quiet voice said "babe there is nothing wrong honestly,i am just thinking."

Ronan didn't belive her but he didn't say anything,instead he pulled up a chair and sat down next to his girl.

Ronan then wrapped his arms around her,and kissed her on the top of her head.

Claire didn't respond to Ronan putting his arms around her or even to him kissing her on the top of her head.

Claire turned her head away,and continued to look blankly at the wall with that distant look in her eyes.

Shane then came out of the kitchen and looked over at Ronan and Claire and in a jokey voice said "oi you two get a room."

Shane hadn't seen the look in Claire's eyes,when Ronan had gone over to her.

Shane then sat down next to Bronwyn and put his arm around her and lightly kissed the top of her head.

Shane then said "i am so sorry for taking this long in the kitchen,dad was starting to get swamped with orders."

Shane then said "all of you who are comeing to Dublin are you ready to leave?,"

What's Claire thinking of? Have something bad happen?

Shane then looked over at Ronan and Claire and said "Ro is Claire ok?."

Ronan then turned and looked at Shane and said "i don't know mate."

Ronan then said "when i came over to her,she had a distant look in her eyes."

Ronan then said "Claire didn't even respond when i put my arms around her,or even when i kissed her on the top of her head."

Ronan then continued by saying "Shane i am worried about her,she said that there is nothing wrong with her."

Ronan then said "and that she is just thinking."

Ronan then continued by saying "but she spoke in a very quiet voice."

Ronan then said "and looked at me with blank eyes,she is now looking blankly at the wall."

Ronan then said "with that distant look,in her eyes again."

Shane dropped his arm from around Bronwyn's shoulders and walked over to the table where Ronan and Claire were sat.

Shane then squatted down in front of Claire,Kian then walked over to where Claire and Ronan were and knelt in front of his childhood friend.

Shane then said "hun it's Shay, and Ro,Ki and i are worried about you, is everything ok hun?."

Claire still didn't respond but sat silently,in the chair with tears forming in her eyes.

Without looking at any thing or any one Claire in a very quiet voice said "Shay i know it is you and Ki."

Claire then said "but honestly you,Ro and Ki don't need to worry about me, i am ok i am just thinking."

With that Claire pushed Ronan's arms from her shoulders and stood up and ran out of the cafe.

Shane then stood up and walked back over to the table.

Shane then turned to Ronan and said "don't you think you had better go after Claire,she was starting to cry."

Bronwyn looked at Shane and said "Shane what's wrong?."

Shane then ran his hand through his hair and said "baby i don't know, all i know is there is something bothering Claire."

Shane then said "and she is not happy,she didn't even respond to Ronan."

Shane then said "babe do you have any idea what could be wrong with Claire?,you and CReena are her best friends."

Mark then looked up and said "hey guys where has my sister gone?."

Mark then said "one minute she is sat with Ronan the next she has gone,what the hell is going on?."

Shane looked at Mark and said " Mark we don't know where Claire has gone."

Kian then said "Mark she just got up and ran out of here, with tears in her eyes."

Mark sighed and got to his feet, grabbed his jacket off the back of the seat and ran out the door to find his sister.

Meanwhile Bronwyn was sat quietly she was remembering something from a year back.

Flashback to a year earlier.

it was 21st march 2002 and the gang were sat in the Carlton Cafe waiting for Shane as usual.

Claire was waiting for her boyfriend of 12 years to come and pick her up,and take her to Cork for the weekend.

When Claire suddenly got up,and ran from the restaurant into the toilets.

Once Claire was safely in a toilet cubicle she lifted her skirt and felt blood in her knickers,she then sank to the floor crying.

Creena said "guys where is Claire?,she was here a few minutes ago."

Shane said "sis Claire ran in the direction of the ladies toilets,and she hasn't come back out yet."

Creena said "ok thanks Shane."

Creena then ran as fast as she could iinto the ladies toilets,closely followed by Bronwyn and Erin.

the 3 girls were worried about their best friend.

Creena,Erin and Bronwyn could hear crying,comeing from a cubicle and knew that it was Claire.

Bronwyn and Erin then said "Creena i am going to tell,Shane we have found Claire and she is in here crying her heart out."

Creena then said "ok Erin,Bron you 2 go do that,i will stay here with Claire and see if i can find out what is wrong."

Bronwyn and Erin then got up and walked back,into the restaurant and walked over to Shane.

Bronwyn then in a whisper said "Claire is in a cubicle in the ladies crying her heart out."

Bronwyn then in a whisper said "Creena is trying to find out what is wrong."

In the toilets Creena had managed,to force the cubicle door open that Claire was sat in.

When Creena finally got the door fully opened,she was horrified to see a puddle of blood around Claire.

Creena took Claire's hand and said "hun what's going on?, there is blood everywhere."

Claire said "i want Ro,i want Ro,and i want to see Mark."

Creena then said "hun Ro's not here yet,and Mark can't come in here this is the ladies toilets,but i am here hun."

Shane,Bronwyn and Erin then ran in the direction of the toilets, when they saw the blood around Claire.

Both Shane,Erin and Bronwyn gasped and in unison said "what the hell is going on?."

Claire saw Shane and said "Shay please leave,go and get Ro, i want Ro and Mark."

Shane got up and ran back into the restaurant,and over to Mark.

Shane then in a whisper said "Mark,Claire is bleeding and she wants you,and keeps asking for Ro."

When Shane had gone Claire said "Creena,Bronwyn,Erin promise me that what i am going to tell you now,will never get back to Kian,Ro,Mark,Shane,Nicky or Bryan."

Creena,Erin and Bronwyn nodded and in unison said "we promise hun,now tell us."

Claire then said "i am having a miscarriage,i haven't even told Ro that i am pregnant."

Claire then said "if he ever finds out about this,it will kill him."

Claire then fell asleep on Creena's lap,Bronwyn then went out in to the restaurant and over to Shane.

Bronwyn then in a whisper said "phone an ambulance now."

End of Flashback.

A few seconds later Ronan stood up and took his car keys from his jacket pocket.

Ronan left his jacket on the chair and ran to the door,followed by Kian and Erin.

Ronan just had to find his girl.

Kian then turned to Shane and said "you lot go onto Dublin, tell Nicky,Grace and Bry that something has come up."

Kian then said "that Erin and i need help Ro to deal with but me,Erin,Ro and Claire will be over as soon as we can."

Ronan had already left the carlton,and drove away while Kian was still talking to Shane.

With that Kian and Erin ran out and got into his car.

Kian then started the car and drove away from the Carlton.

A few seconds later Kian saw Ronan's car by the side of road next to Mark who was sat on the grass near the roadside.

Kian pulled over and wound down his window,and heard Ronan say "Mark what's up?,"

Mark looked up at Kian and Ronan and said " hi guys,i have found Claire."

Mark then moved slightly Kian and Ronan could see,that Mark had Claire between his feet to stop her disapperaing again.

Kian,Erin and Ronan then all got out,of their cars and walked over to Mark and Claire.

Ronan and Kian then knelt down in front of Claire,with worried expressions on their faces.

Meanwhile back at the Carlton everyone was now worried about Claire,and were wondering if Kian,Erin,Mark or Ronan had found her.

Creena started to pace anxiously up and down the floor,she was concerned that one of her best friends would do something daft if she was left on her own for too long.

Bronwyn then walked over to Shane and said "erm Shay babe i need to tell you something."

Creena looked at Bronwyn with anger burning in her eyes and said "don't you bloody well dare tell him,the 3 of us promised Claire that we'd never say anything."

Bronwyn then said "yes i know what we promised Claire but we should have told the guys."

Creena then said "no just keep quiet it's not our place to say anything,if Claire wants them to kow she'll tell them when she's ready to."

Bronwyn then said "no Reenie i can't keep quiet anymore it's killing me inside,that we never told the guys isn't it killing you?."

Creena then said "yes of course it is but it's a promise that i intend to keep."

Shane was starting to become angry,and looked at the 2 girls with anger burning in his eyes.

Shane said "girls if you know something,as to what is wrong with Claire then tell me now."

Shane then said "because it is important that,we find her before she does something silly."

Shane then grabbed Bronwyn by the hand and lead her over to a quiet alcove.

Shane then said "right i want to know,what it is that you know. "

Shane then said "that could be wrong with Claire,and i want to know now."

Bronwyn had never seen Shane look so mad before.

Bronwyn said "ok Shane i will tell you,but you have to promise not to tell Claire that you know."

Bronwyn then said "and you have to promise not to tell Kian,Mark, Nicky,Bryan and most importantly not Ronan."

Shane was really annoyed now he said "for god's sake just bloody tell me,what is wrong with Claire."

Bronwyn then said "you remember a year ago today when i told you to phone an ambulance?."

Bronwyn then said "well it was for Clairethat we needed the ambulance for,when she was bleeding badly."

Shane then said "yeah i remember that day,but what has it got to do with why Claire ran out of here in tears?."

Bronwyn then said "just shut up and listen Shane,the reason that Claire ran out of here in tears a little while ago."

Bronwyn then said "is because today,is the anniversary of when Claire miscarried."

Shane then looked at Bronwyn and said "what the hell did you say?."

Bronwyn looked at Shane and said "i have just told you that Claire had a miscarriage a year ago today."

Shane then said "you bloody kept this,to yourself all this long."

Shane then said "can you imagine what this is going to do to Ronan,when he finds out that he would have been a dad by now?."

Shane then said "and that the girl he loves had a miscarriage a year ago and no one told him."

Bronwyn looked at Shane and said "of course i know what this will do to Ronan,this is why we were made to promise not to tell any of you."

Bronwyn then said "i knew you would react like this,now let go of me Shane you are hurting me."

A few seconds later Creena heard her phone ringing.

So she took it out of her pocket,and saw Kian's number on the display.

Creena then lifted the flip on her phone,and said "hello Kian what's going on and,has Mark or Ro found Claire?."

Kian said "hi Reenie yes we have has found Claire."

Kian then said "well Mark did he found her in the woods, Claire tried to fight with him and escape."

Kian then said "but he grabbed hold of her,and dragged her back to the roadside ."

Kian then continued by saying "when i pulled up,next to Ronan and Mark's cars."

Kian then said "i didn't realise that Mark had Claire in between his feet,to stop her from escaping again."

Kian then said "well that was until,Ronan and Mark moved slightly."

Creena then said "is Claire ok Kian?."

Kian then said said "yes Reenie Claire is ok,apart from a few scratches and a cut to her head."

Kian then said "Mark is trying to get her,into Ronan's car now."

Kian then said "so that he can take her,to the hospital to get checked out properly."

Kian then said "Reenie let the others know that Mark has found Claire,and that Ro is going to take her to hospital to get cheked out."

Kian then said "Erin and i are on our way back now,so we will see you all in a while."

Creena then said "ok Kian i will tell them," then Kian and Creena hung up.

Poor Claire and Ronan. :(

Back at the roadside Erin walked over to Claire,and draped the blanket over Claire's shoulders to warm her up.

Over in Dublin Nicky looked at Grace and said "babe shouldn't Shane,Bronwyn,Mark,Creena,Kian,Erin,Ronan and Claire set off by now?."

Grace came out of the Kitchen and said "yes babe they should have done,why don't you phone Shane?."

Grace then said "to see if they have left yet."

Back in Sligo,Creena walked over to where Shane and Bronwyn where stood and said "guys i'm sorry to interupt you."

Creena then said "but Kian has just phoned me,Mark has found Claire."

Creena then said "and he is trying to get,her into Ronan's car."

Creena then said "so that Ronan can take Claire,to the hospital to be checked out."

Shane looked at Creena and said "thanks for telling us Reenie,is Claire ok and where did Mark find her?."

Creena then said "from what Kian said Claire has some scratches on her arms,and a cut on her head."

Creena then said "Kian told me that,Mark found her in the woods."

Shane then said "ok guys we'll wait a while longer for Kian,Erin,Mark,Ro and Claire to come back,i'd better phone Nix and let him know what's going on."

Shane then walked away from the 2 girls and pulled out his mobile and dialled Nicky's number and waited for an answer.

Meanwhile over in Dublin Nicky felt his phone vibrate in his pocket,so he pulled it out and saw Shane flashing on the screen.

Nicky then slid up the cover and pressed the answer button and said "hey Shay what the hell's taking you guys so long,and have you left yet?."

At the other end of the line Shane said "Hey Nix no we haven't left yet we're waiting for Ki,Erin,Mark,Ro and Claire to come back,as soon as they get here we'll leave straight away."

At the other end of the line Nicky said "Shane what's going on and where have Mark,Ki,Erin,Claire and Ro gone?."

At the other end of the line Shane said "Nix it's a long story and i can't really go into details,but something's upset Claire and she ran out of here in tears and Mark,Ki,Erin and Ro went to look for her and Mark found her in Hazelwoods with scratches to her arms,legs and a cut on her head."

At the other end of the line Nicky said "ok thanks for letting us know Shay and i hope Claire's ok,we'll see you all soon."

Both men then said "yeah see you soon mate," and then hung up their phones.

Meanwhile back at the roadside Mark had finally got Claire into the car,and was now strapping her into her seat.

Mark then looked at Ronan and said "Ro take Claire to the hospital,and i'll head back to the Carlton with Kian and Erin."

Ronan then sighed and said "Mark i'm not daft i do know how to look after Claire,we've been together since i was 13 and you 2 were 10."
Mark then shut Claire's door and walked over to Kian and Erin's car with Kian and Erin and the 3 of them got in to the car.

Kian and Ronan then reveresed their cars and headed in their seperate directions,Kian,Erin and Mark back to the Carlton and Ronan and Claire to the hospital.

As they were driving Kian looked at Mark in the rearview mirror and said "Mark do you really think Claire'll go to the hospital?,we all know that she's even stubbborner than you."

Mark then said "yeah guys i know my sister will go to the hospital,Ro won't give her a choice in the matter."

Erin then looked at the 2 lads and said "Ki,Mark there's something you both need to know,and Bron,Creena and i should have told you last year but we promised Claire we wouldn't tell any of you."

Kian and Mark then looked at Erin and waited for her to continue,but she didn't say anymore.

Mark then said "for god's sake Erin if you know why Claire's been acting so strangely and giving people the silent treatment for the last few days,and what could have made her run from the Carlton?,then tell me because it's important i know what's wrong with my sister."

Erin then took a deep breath and said "Mark you would have been an uncle by now,but Claire had a miscarriage a year ago today in the Carlton."

Mark then said "oh my god i can't believe that my sister went through that alone,and then never told me i wonder does Ro know about this?."

Erin then turned in her seat and said "Mark,Claire wasn't alone when she had the miscarriage,Creena,Bron and i were with her,and no Ro or the other guys don't know about this so you can't tell Ro,Shay,Nix or Bry you 2 are the only ones apart from Claire,me,Bron and Creena know about this."

Kian and Mark then in unison said "Erin you should have told us this at the time,maybe we could have helped Claire through this and maybe if we'd got her to the hospital sooner they might have been able to save the baby and Ro needs to know."

Erin then said "guys i've wanted to tell you all along but we promised Claire we wouldn't say anything,and i know that Ro neds to know but it's not our place to tell him,Claire must be the one to tell him so i'm warning you both now not a word about this to Ro."

Meanwhile Ronan was now on his way to the hospital to get Claire checked over.

Claire then looked at Ronan and said "Ro turn the car round now i'm not going to the hospital,just take us back to the Carlton."

Ronan then briefly took his attention from the road and looked at Claire and said "no babe we're not heading back to the Carlton,you're going to the hospital to get that deep cut on your head treated and to have a full check over to make sure you've got no more injuries,now are you gonna tell me what ever it is you want to tell me?."

Claire then turned her head away from Ronan and looked out of the window and said "Ro what i need to tell is not very nice,but it's time you knew cos i've kept it hidden from you for a year."

Ronan then looked at Claire in the mirror and said "babe please don't tell me that you're breaking up with me,now after all this time."

Without looking at him Claire said "no Ro babe don't be stupid of course i'm not breaking up with you."

Ronan then said "so babe if you're not breaking up with me which i'm pleased about what is it i need to know?,because i'm really worried now."

Still without looking at him Claire said "Ro you would have been a dad by now,but i lost the baby a year ago today i had a miscarriage in the Carlton."
　
Ronan then pulled over and gently turned Claire's head to face him,and then he wiped away the tears that were silently rolling down her cheeks.

Ronan then said "babe why didn't you ever tell me this before now?,if i'd known sooner we could have got through this together."

Claire sighed and said "Ro i never told you about the miscarriage before now,because i was scared that if i told you that you'd walk away."

Ronan then wrapped his arm around Claire's shoulders and said "no my darling i would never have walked away from you,i love you to much to do that to you."

Chapter 2 surpises for Kian,Adam,Jensen,Shane,Mark,Ronan,Brian and Nicky.

Meanwhile over in Dublin Grace,Nicky,Brian,Katie,Christina,Jensen,Jade and Adam were wondering what had happened for Mark,Erin,Kian,Ronan and Claire to deal with.

Jade then said "hey guys do we have any idea how much longer Shane and the rest of the gan are gonna be?."

Nicky then picked up his phone from the coffee table and sent Shane a text,the text read:Hey Shay how much longer r u guys gonna b?. The grls want 2 head in2 the city & do some shopping. Jst checkin 2 see if Ro & the others r bk yet?. ttys Nix,Grace,Chris,Jensen,Bri,Katie,Jade & Adam.

Grace and Jade then went into the kitchen and made some drinks for everyone,while they waited for Shane,Bronwyn,Kian,Erin,Mark,Creena,Ronan and Claire to arrive.

Jade then pulled her left hand out of her jeans pocket and revealed a 9ct gold ruby heart shaped ring,and then looked at Grace and said "hey hun Adam proposed last night,and we also found out yesterday that i'm 15 weeks pregnant."

Grace then walked over to her cousin and hugged her tightly and said "wow congratulations hun,does Nicky know yet that you and Adam are engaged?."

Jade then said "no one other than you know that we're engaged or that i'm pregant,we're gonna announce both pieces of news tonight at dinner."

The 2 girls then picked up the cups and carried them into the sitting room and passed them round,and then sat back down on the sofa next to Nicky and Adam.

Just then Christina looked around the room and said "guys Jensen and i have an announcement to make,and it's this we're gonna have a baby."

Christina then said "guys i found out 2 weeks ago i'm now 17 weeks pregnant,and before you ask we don't care what the sex of the baby is as long as it's healthy."

Nicky then said "oh my god could this be the start of a baby boom?,it wouldn't surprise me if Kian and Erin are the next ones to tell us they are having a baby."

Adam looked at Jade and smiled and then looked at Nicky,and said "actually bro that's where you are wrong,because Jade and i are gonna have a baby Jade's 15 weeks."

Soon Nicky and Brian were shaking Adam and Jensesn's hands,and Grace and Katie were hugging Jade and Christina.

Brian then said "Nix it looks like you could be right about there being a baby boom,there's gonna be 2 babies born within 2 weeks of each other."

Nicky laughed and then said "yeah i know Bri one is my niece or nephew and the other is your niece or nephew,but i still think that Ki and Erin will be next to tell us they are having a baby."

Meanwhile back in Sligo at the Carlton Shane looked at the other and said "do we know for sure that Ro has taken Claire to the hospital,and not decided to just take her back to Cork?."

Mark then said "Shay i'm 100% positive Ro has taken Claire to the hospital,he's not that daft as to take her back to his without her first being checked over."

Erin then said "hey Ki,Mark did either of you notice that Claire wasn't moving her right arm,and that she had it still against her body?."

Kian then said "no i didn't at the time babe when we first saw Claire in between Mark's feet,but now that you mention it i do remember seeing her arm like that when Mark dragegd her over to Ro's car."

Mark then said "ok so not only has my sister got a deep cut to her head and some scratches on her arms and legs,but she might also have a broken arm that's just bloody great Ro's really gonna love that if her arm is broken and is in a cast for 6 - 8 weeks,cos she'll use it to hit him."

Shane laughed and said "no she won't Mark and you know it,and anyway even if Claire's arm is broken who said she'll be with Ro for the whole 6 - 8 weeks?."

Creena then looked at Shane and said "bro if Claire has a broken arm we all know that Ro,will insit she stays with him until her cast comes off."

Erin then said "i'm surprised that Claire hasn't moved in with Ro yet considering how long they've been together,do you think Claire will ever move in with him?."

Bronwyn then said "i doubt it Erin not unless they ever get married,but that'll be the only time Claire does move in with Ro."

Just then Shane heard his phone beep in his pocket so he walked away from the others,and pulled it out of his pocket and saw he had a text from Nicky.

Shane then sent Nicky a text back,the text read:Hey u lot Ki,Erin & Mark r bk @ the Carlton.But we're still waitin 4r Ro & Claire 2 come bk 4rm Sligo Gen. C u all soon
Shay,Bron,Ki,Erin,Mark & Reenie.

Meanwhile Ronan and Claire had now arrived at the hopsital.

Ronan then looked at Claire and said "baby doll how far gone where you,when you had the miscarriage?."

Claire then said "Ro i was 13 weeks gone,and can we please drop the subject cos i don't want to talk about it anymore."

They then got out of the car and walked into the accident emergency room,at the reception desk Ronan gave the receptionist Claire's details and they were told to take a seat and a doctor would be with them shortly.

Meanwhile back at the Carlton Erin looked at Kian and said "erm Ki babe i've got something to tell you,i'm almost 4 months pregnant how do you feel to be a daddy?."

Kian then walked over to Erin and picked her up and kissed her,while swinging her round,and then said "wow that's great news babe i can't wait to be a daddy and Ro and Claire'll make a brilliant uncle and aunty."

Erin then said "oh hell Ki i don't wanna tell Claire our good news,i don't want to upset especially today of all days."

Creena then looked at Mark and said "Mark i'm also pregnant,i'm a week ahead of Erin i'm 16 weeks and i agree with Erin i don't think we should tell Claire today of all days cos it'll only upset her."

Shane then said "you're right girls it's not fair to upset Claire anymore today,so just leave it for a few days before you tell her."

Meanwhile back at the hospital a doctor had called Claire into an examination room,she then cleaned the cut on Claire's head and closed the wound with surgical glue and then applied a sterlie dressing.

The doctor then looked at Claire and said "miss Feehily i'm not happy with the way you're right arm is so still,so i'm gonna send you for an x-ray."

Claire then said "erm doctor i can't go for an x-ray."

The doctor then gave Claire a puzzled look and said "miss Feehily why can't you go for an x-ray?."

Claire then looked at Ronan and said "erm babe i know i've alredy dropped one bombshell on you today,but i'm gonna drop another one on you i found out this morning,that i'm 8 weeks pregnant."

The doctor then said "ah well that explains why you can't go for an x-ray,i can tell just by looking at your arm that it's broken,so i'll put a cast on now and then you're free to go."

The doctor then said "but i don't want you staying alone for the next 24 - 48 hours,as you've got concussion due to that head wound."

Ronan then said "don't worry doctor my girlfriend won't be alone,she'll stay with me until her cast comes off.

Ronan then looked at Claire and then kissed her and then said "babe that's fantastic news,and i can't wait to be a dad."

Meanwhile over in Dublin Katie looked at Grace and said "Grace what the hell is going on,and are Shane and the others still coming over or not?."

Grace then said "yeah they are coming over,they are waiting for Ro and Claire to come back from the hospital."

Jade then said "Grace why on earth would Ro and Claire be at the hospital?,and i hope it's nothing serious."

Grace then said "i don't know why Claire and Ro are the hospital,but i wouldn't have thought they should be much longer."

Christina then looked at Grace and sadi "what the bloody hell are they doing,and wouldn't it be better if we just went into the city centre and they met us there?."

Grace and Nicky then in unison said "no we're not going anywhere until Shay,Bron,Ki,Erin,Mark,Creena,Ro and Claire get here,so if you wann a go Chris it's fine by us,and how the hell should we know what's taking Claire and Ro so long?."

Just then the front door opened and Nicky's sister Amy walked in,and said "hey guys i thought you lot where heading into the city with Shane and the others,so where are Shane and the others?."

Nicky then said "hey sis Shay and the others are still waiting for Claire and Ro to come back from Sligo general,and then they are coming over."

Amy then said "oh god Nix i hope nothing serious has happened to either of them."

Nicky then said "nah sis it's nothing serious so don't worry Claire's got some cuts and bruises from where she fell in the woods,or so i can understand from Shay."

Amy then said "what the hell were Claire and Ro doing in Hazelwoods any way?,i thought they would have been at the Carlton waiting for Shane."

Nicky then said "sis i don't know why Claire was in Hazelwoods but from what i can understand from Shane's text,Claire ran out of the Carlton in tears so something's upset her,and Mark,Ki,Erin and Ro went looking for her and Mark found her and had to fight with her to bring her upto the roadside,and then he had to fight with her to get her in Ro's car so that Ro could take her to the hospital to get her checked over."

Grace,Katie,Jade and Amy then in unison said "oh god Nix i hope Claire and Ro haven't had an arguement,for Claire to have ran out of the Carlton in tears."

Nicky then said "girls i don't know what's happened for Claire to have ran ot of the Carlton in tears,but no doubt we'll find out when the rest of the gang get here."

Christina then looked around the room and said "guys we'll meet you in the city centre when the others arrive,i'm not gonna hang about here waiting for them slow coaches to get here."

Without waiting for an answer from the others Christina and Jensen left the sitting room,and got into their car and headed to the city centre to wait for the others.

Meanwhile back in Sligo Bronwyn said "guys i don't think we should tell Claire even in a few days time,i think we should wait til we're starting to show and then it won't be so painful for her."

Shane then said "no Bron babe that's just cruel to wait til you're showing,that'll hurt Claire even more than if you told her in the next few days."

Kian then said "Bron i have to agree with Shane on that i don't think it's fair to tell Claire when you start showing."

Erin then said "either way guys it's gonna hurt Claire when we tell her that we're pregnant,she'll probably hate us for a while."

Mark then shook his head and said "no girls Claire won't hate you just cos you're pregnant,she still has plenty of time to have a baby."

Kian then said "yeah providing that her and Ro don't split up because of this,they've been together far too long to throw away their relationship."

Mark then said "yeah i know they have Ki they've been together since Claire and i were 10 and Ro was 13,we met Ro while we were on holiday in Wexford with our parents,Barry and Colin and Ro was on holiday there with his parents,brothers and Erin."

Bronwyn then said "i've often wondered how long Ro and Claire have been together,and how they met."

Erin then said "Bron,Ro and i were down on the beach with our dad when Claire,Mark,Barry and Colin came down with their parents,and Claire,Mark and Barry were kicking a soccer ball about,the ball came over to where we were and Ro kicked it back and it hit Claire in the shin."

Mark then said "so Ro came over to us and apologized to Claire for kicking the ball at her,Claire gave him a smile and then turned away from him and hid her face in her hair,cos she was blushing,and later that night when we were back in our chalet i asked Claire why she turned away from him and she told me that she thought he was cute."

Mark then said "so the next day i went down to the beach before Claire got up in the hope that i might be able to catch Ro alone,and tell him what Claire had said,luckily for me Ro was alone on the beach with his dog they were just walking back up the sand after being in the sea so i walked over to him and told him what Claire had said the night before,and he laughed and told me that he thought she was gorgeous and wanted to ask her out."

Mark then said "so i arranged a meeting between them on the beach them near one of the rock pools for that afternoon,i then went back to the chalet and told Claire we were going shell hunting later,of course we never did it just my way of getting Claire to come down to the rock pool to meet Ronan."

Mark then said "i walked away from Claire laughing and went to rejoin mum,dad,Barry and Colin,and that's when i saw Ro walking along the beach towards the rock pool with 2 beach towels in one hand and a huge beach ball in the other,so i walked over to him and told him that Claire was sat on a sand dune near the first rock pool."

Erin then said "i was puzzled as to why Ro had left the cottage with 2 beach towels and the beach ball,so i followed him not knowing that he'd been set up on a meeting with Claire,he turned round and saw me and told me to get lost and stop following him,so i asked him where he was going and he told me i'm off to meet the cute little blonde we met yesterday cos i'm going to ask her out now leave me alone."

Bronwyn smiled and "aww that is such a sweet story of how they met and got together."

Meanwhile back at the hospital the doctor put the cast on Claire's arm and then put it in a sling,and said "Miss Feehily you need to keep your arm in the sling for the entire time you have your cast on,and you'll also need to put this waterproof sleeve over your cast when showering,and one more thing before you leave stop by the hospital pharmacy on your way out and pick up this perscription for pain killers,they must be taken one every four hours with water."

Claire then said "ok doctor i'm not stupid and anyway he'll moan at me if i don't take the tablets,sorry for wasting your valuable time."

The doctor then said "Miss Feehily it's a good thing you have some one to remind you to take the tablets,and you haven't wasted my time that cut needed treating and so did your arm."

Claire and Ronan then left the cubicle and stopped by the pharmacy to pick up Claire's perscription,and then they left the hospital and drove over to the Carlton.

As they were driving back to the Carlton Claire lookeed at Ronan in the mirror and said "babe if you don't mind i don't want to tell the others that i'm pregnant just yet."

Ronan smiled and said "babe it's probably for the best any way if we don't tell them yet,isn't it unlucky to say anything until after 13 weeks?,we don't want to tempt fate again now stop stressing yourself out and relax."

Claire then pulled her phone from her pocket and sent Mark a text,the text read:Hey Bro we r on our way bk nw. I've got concussion & a broken arm but aprt 4rm tht I'm fyn. Let Shay & the others knw I'm ok 2 stop them worrying abt me. We'll c u all soon Claire & Ro.

Meanwhile back at the Carlton Mark heard his phone beep in his pocket,so he pulled it out and read the text from Claire and smiled.

Erin then said "everything ok Mark?."

Mark then said "yes Erin everything's fine Claire's just text me,to say she's fine and that they are on their way back now she has a broken arm and concussion."

Shane,Bronwyn,Kian,Erin,Kian and Creena then in unison said "thank god that Claire is ok,we all know she's gonna drive Ro nutty with the cast on."

Mark laughed and said "no she won't more like it will be Ro driving her up the wall with his fussing,until the day her cast comes off."

Shane then pulled his phone from his jacket pocket and sent Nicky a text,the text read:Hey Nico we will b leavin in 10 mins. Claire & Ro r on their way bk nw.Claire has a broken am and concussion but she's fine. I think Ro has jst sent Mark a txt 4rm Claire's fone. C u all soon Shay & Gang.

A few minutes later Ronan and Claire arrived back at the Carlton,soon the others came out and got into their cars and drove over to Dublin.

Chapter 3 the gang goes shopping and Ronan has an idea and needs help putting into action.

A short while later Shane,Bronwyn,Mark,Creena,Kian,Erin,Ronan and Claire arrived in Dublin and pulled up outside of Nicky and Grace's house.

Amy had seen them pull up so she got out of her seat and went to open the front door,followed by Grace,Jade and Katie.

Kian,Erin,Mark,Creena,Shane and Bronwyn got out of their cars,Shane then walked over to Ronan's car and helped Ronan to get Claire out of the car.

Just then Nicky,Bryan and Adam came out of the house and were wondering why both Shane and Ronan were helping Claire out of the car.

Grace then walked over to Claire and Ronan and said "hey hun are you ok?."

Claire smiled and said "hey hun yeah i'm ok apart from having a broken arm and concussion."

Nicky then said "come on let's go inside and we'll have a quick drink before we head into the city centre to meet up with Chris and Jensen."

Jade then said "that's a good idea Nicky and then Adam and I can make our announcemnets,instead of making them tonight."

Shane,Bronwyn,Mark,Creena,Kian,Erin,Ronan,Claire and Amy were all looking at Jade in confusion.

A few minutes later Nicky,Grace,Amy,Jade,Adam,Bryan,Katie,Kian,Erin,Claire,Ronan,Mark,Creena,Shane and Bronwyn went ito the house.

Grace,Amy,Jade and Erin went into the kitchen to make the drinks,Grace then looked at Erin and said "Erin is Claire really ok?."

Erin then said "yeah physically she's fine but emmotionally she's not ok."

Amy and Jade then in unison said "Erin what did you mean by that cryptic comment about Claire not being emmotionally ok?."

Erin then said "girls it's not my place to say anything more on that subject,that's down to Claire if she wants to tell you but all i'm gonna say is that today is not a good day for Claire."

The 4 girls then went back into the sitting room and handed the drinks around,once everyone had a drink Jade looked at Adam and smiled.

Jade then walked over to Adam and said "ok guys Bryan,Katie,Nicky and Grace have already heard this, Adam and i got engaged last night and iI'm 15 weeks pregnant."

Claire looked at Jade but never said anything,instead she got up off Ronan's lap and left the room with fresh tears in her eyes.

Ronan gave Jade a look of anger and frustration,and then left the room and went to make sure Claire was ok.

Shane,Mark,Kian,Creena,Erin and Bronwyn and looked at Jade and in unison said "well that was a pretty dumb thing to do Jade."

Jade looked around the room and said "ok guys what the hell have i done to make Claire leave the room in tears?."

Mark then looked at her and said " Jade you've just managed to upset Claire with your announcement,now if you'll all excuse me i'm going to check on my sister."

Mark then left the sitting room and found Claire and Ronan sat on the stairs,and then said "Ro is Claire alright?."

Ronan looked at Mark and said "Mark,Claire'll be fine she's just upset and hurt at hearing that Jade's pregnant,she didn't need to hear that today of all days."

Mark then sat down on the stairs on the other side of Claire and wrapped his arm around ehr shoulders and said "sis i know today's a bad day for you filled with sad and painful memories,but trust me sis the pain will get easier with time i promise you that time is a great healer."

Claire then wiped her tears away and looked at Mark and said "bro how in god's name do you know about that?,the only people who know about that is Creena,Bron,Erin and now Ro."

Mark took a deep breath and said "erm sis Ki and I were told by Erin when you and Ro,were on your way to the hospital what happened last year."

Ronan then looked at Mark in disbelief and then said "so I'm the last to know about this am i,who else knows apart from you,Kian,Erin,Bronwyn and Creena?."

Mark then sighed and said "er yeah sorry Ro but neither Ki or i knew about the miscarriage until a little while ago,or we'd have told you last year and i think Shane may also know."

Meanwhile back in the sitting room Jade was still looking at the others in confusion,but no one was willing to give her an answer.

Eventually Shane said "Jade it's not our place to tell you why you've managed to upset Claire,if Clairee wants you to know then she'll tell you when she's ready."

Just then Grace came out of the sitting room with all the empty cups and saw Mark,Claire and Ronan sat in a small huddle on the stairs.

Grace then said "hey you 3 is everything ok and why on earth are you 3 sat on the stairs?."

Claire looked at Grace and said "yeah everything's ok hun,don't worry about me."

Ronan looked at Claire and said "babe tell Grace the truth or i will tll her."
Claire then looked at Ronan and said "babe no one else needs to know it's got nothing to do with anyone else."

Mark then said "come on sis you know that the whole gang are not just friends,you know that we're like one big family and we don't hide things from anyone."

Ronan then looked at Grace and said "no Grace everything's not ok,a year ago today Claire had a miscarriage in the Carlton Creena,Erin and Bronwyn were with her."

Grace then dumped the cups on the hallway table and walked up the stairs and sat in front of Claire and pulled her friend into a hug.

that's the last prewritten add til i sit down at the weekend when it's quieter and writer some more :D
